The PFERD POLICAP® Seamless Abrasive Cap (Part 46035) is a high-performance cylindrical grinding solution designed for precision surface finishing and fine grinding. Measuring 3/8" x 5/8" (Shape A) and built with 60 grit aluminum oxide, this abrasive cap provides reliable stock removal and smooth surface refinement across a wide range of materials. Its seamless construction allows the entire abrasive surface area to be used, ensuring uniform wear and consistent results. During operation, the cap expands securely onto the holder for a firm fit and stable grinding performance. Easy product changes are achieved with a simple clockwise twist and pull—no need to remove the holder from the tool. Developed for universal use on steel (hardened, heat-treated, and non-hardened), stainless steel (INOX), cast steel, and high-hardness steels (>54 HRC), it is also suitable for plastics, wood, and fillers in model crafting applications. Ideal for tool and die-making, repair, leveling, and step-by-step fine grinding. For optimal performance, operate at 2,000–4,000 SFPM. Do not exceed the maximum permitted speed of 5,500 SFPM.
